fields of valor is like a short exp-reward quest. In certian spots within the old areas (like west ronfaure) there's a book you check to accept a FOV quest, the quest will simply be to kill a number of certain monsters (like 1-tiny mandrag, 5-rarabs) you kill those and bing you get an extra 300exp or so, and a currency called tabs. You can do one of these quests each vana'diel day. They arent anything overly special but it helps soloing. With the tabs you can then buy buffs from the book, stuff like 1mp-per tick refresh, regen, or reraise that lasts for 30 minutes. It might cost 30tabs for this and you might get 60tabs for completing an FOV.
