Well, I'm sure some if not all of you guys have seen macros like this. I came across it trolling forums on FFXIAH.com.
I'm not entirely how to do this in a better way (I'm rather computer stupid as some of you know) so I will do it the way I know best.

---------------------------

**"Right now I'm leveling BST and I'm changing 10 pieces of gear between charm and attack gear using two macros.. I do similar with my RDM macros.

What I'm wondering is if I can call a macro from another macro."

**hypnotizd from "BLMs, Please listen." thread said:
I suppose it would be possible to use the ingame macro system for more than 6 gear swaps from the same macro combo by the following. But it will require you to hit he same macro 4 times for all the swapping to take place and bring you back to your starting macro set.

BLM Book Macro Set #1
CTRL+1:
/equip main itemname
/equip sub itemname
/equip ammo item name
/equip head item name
/equip neck item name
/macro set 2

BLM Book Macro Set #2
CTRL+1:
/equip ear1 itemname
/equip ear2 itemname
/equip body itemnam
/equip hands itemname
/equip ring1 itemname
/macro set 3

BLM Book Macro Set #3
CTRL+1:
/equip ring2 itemname
/equip back itemname
/equip waist itemname
/equip legs itemname
/equip feet itemname
/macro set 4

BLM Book Macro Set #4
CTRL+1
/magic "Blizard IV" <stnpc>
/macro set 1

That will allow you to hit the same macro 4 times for a complete gearswap, you can put your "/ja Charm <stnpc>" or whatever in place of the "/magic "Blizard IV" <stnpc>"

-------------------------

I have not tried this set up yet, but I am VERY eager to see if it works well or not. I am sorry if you have seen this before, but I thought it would be nice to show others who might not have (me) :P

interestingly confusing ^^ Never thought of that.

I do 3 macros to charm on bst: chr1, chr2, and finally /ja charm, switching in 13 items, I dont do back or earring2(but I could/should do them both, maybe soon XD). I use controller though and line them up so I dont find it that bad though its far from efficent. Going 'vertical' like that could save up space on a macro set, I'm definitely going to web some of these in somewhere.

I can see myself going crazy with this as I think on it more. I'm going to try some 5-button push macros I think, going:
Swap gear->
Swap MORE gear->
use ability/ws/spell ->
Swap back to melee gear ->
swap back to MORE melee gear and return to macro set #1

Thats basically what I do now only it's all on inside 1 macro set and I'm spamming the controller D-pad around hitting things. I'm a gear swap junkie, I love taking all those worthless little bits of gear and putting them all together to make a difference.

edit-
slightly off topic but I do have issues with my provoke macro that switches in 5 gear pieces and vokes without a /wait. I dont know if its voke or the macro but occasionally the effect doesnt happen, the mob just runs right by. Also I never see the animation for it, which occasionally prompts my party members to ask why I'm not provoking :p

I really dont want to have to A. hit swap gear macro, then B. hit voke macro as it's something you see you need to use and want to use right that fraction of a second, I also dont want to lose the enmity +gear. Maybe I'll idle in enmity gear and slap a /echo recast "provoke" line on all of my abilities to try and be prepared :/ Wish they would revamp the system.. (i hear the system in the windower works wayy better >.>)

this works well by the way. I use it to flip on chr gear to charm (1-gear1, 2-gear2, 3-gear3 and return to set 1) and str for weapon skills (1-str1, 2-str2, 3- ws and return to set 1)
